Meet the Trainer
Lisa Walden is a CODA (Child of Deaf Adult), both of her parents are Profoundly Deaf.
She has seen first hand the barriers faced by her parents and the Deaf community and has worked as Communication Support Worker for the Deaf (CSW) for over 25 years. Lisa has a Level 6 BSL qualification and has delivered her unique Deaf Awareness sessions primarily in college settings, to students and staff.
However, Lisa realises the importance of spreading awareness to Public facing workers to raise inclusivity for the Deaf community, and to equip them with the skills and 'know how' of how to communicate with Deaf people. Hence, formed 'Coda's Signing Hands'
With a wealth of experience under her belt and the ability to connect with people in a warm and energetic way, her sessions are fun and jam packed with knowledge.
